Halloween Skull Decor
"With Halloween coming around again soon I wanted to make my own Halloween decorations. I ordered these skull off the internet without checking the description and they were a lot smaller than expected. Instead of letting them go to waste I made these cute table figures. The bodies were made from shot glasses which were decorated using black gesso and highlighted using Bronze wax paste. I made them some top haps from recycled toilet rolls and used scraps of fabric to make them outfits. The lucky ones got some eyes but I did not have enough beads to make some for them all."

Instructions
-
Paint the glasses using black gesso primer.
-
Glue the skulls onto the top using a hot glue gun.
-
I made top hats from the tube of an empty toilet roll and carboard
-
The hats were painted and decorated.
-
The shot glasses were decorated using self-adhesive rhinestones and broken jewellery.
-
The pockets were cardboard cut to shape.
-
To get the bronze colour over the black. I used bronze wax paste that I applied using my finger to the surface area of the glass. Don't fill in all the nooks and crannies with the bronze paste or the effects will be lost.
-
To give them a softer look I made some eyes. I did not have enough for them all. The beads were painted white then sharpie was used to add the detail of the pupil and veins in the eyes. 12. I used offcuts of fabric the make the scarves and added some spiders for special effect.
