    Materials List

    • Amplify® Mixed Media Shears (10")
    • Paper
    • Old frame
    • Magnetic primer
    • Brush
    • Magnets

    Instructions:

    1. To begin, take an old framed print. Remove the print from the frame and add a few coats (the more coats applied, the stronger the magnetic pull) directly on the frame backer. You can cover the magnetic primer with a latex paint or keep it black.

    2. Either paint the frame or leave the color as is, before putting the frame back together and hanging it up.

    3. Creating new magnets for your board is easy. Cover existing refrigerator magnets in patterned scrapbook paper and spray paint plastic animals in a metallic gold shade. The Amplify Mixed Media Shears are great for cutting precise shapes for the letters and animals. These shears are also great for cutting through thicker materials, like multiple layers of scrapbook paper.

    4. Place the magnets on the board and hang up artwork, notes or reminders.
