Mega Bulky Yarn Crochet Blanket

This easy Mega Bulky Yarn Crochet Blanket is perfect for crocheters who want to make something quick and affordable. Using bulky yarn means that you have less yardage needed to complete the crochet blanket pattern.

From The Blogger:
"Hi, I’m Marie Dabbs with The Inspiration Vault, and the only thing I love more than crafts and crochet projects is getting a great deal on my supplies. Imagine how excited I was when I saw a huge bin full of Bernat’s Mega Bulky Yarn for only $1 a skein at Dollar Tree! I grabbed 10 skeins thinking that would be plenty to make a blanket, based on the materials used for my Santa Hat Crochet Blanket. Well, it turns out I needed three more skeins and decided to use an accent color to break up all the taupe yarn. I didn’t pay full price for those either, thanks to some awesome 50% and 60% off coupons.

Since the Mega Bulky Yarn is so thick, I had to keep the stitch simple. I tried out several stitches, but at that size, most of them looked bizarre. A simple single crochet stitch looked the best and put the focus back onto the beautiful yarn. This would be a great project for someone who is just learning how to crochet or for someone who wants to make a blanket fast since each skein took less than an hour to finish! Who doesn’t love fast and thrifty?"
